National Grid ITT Hub social media competition terms and conditions

  1. The promotor is National Grid, a registered business in England.
  2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 16 years or over; except employees of National Grid and their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. Additional restrictions will apply to winners of the driving and Deeside experience.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are available on event posters at ITT Hub 2021 from Wednesday 30 June to Thursday 1 July 2021.
  6. Only one entry per vehicle type will be accepted per person. Closing date for entry will be 9am on Friday 2 July 2021. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be counted.
  7. No responsibility can be accepted for entries submitted but not received by the promotor for whatever reason.
  8. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
    Post a photo at the 2021 ITT Hub event in Farnborough Exhibition and Conference Centre, England, of one of the following modes of transport on the National Grid stand – the hydrogen car, model electric aeroplane, electric boat, electric Harley Davidson or electric bus. The post can be shared on Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram and must include the hashtag #PoweringFutureTransport and mention National Grid’s account for the channel the post is shared on (@NationalGridUK on Twitter and Instagram, @National Grid on LinkedIn).
  9. Entries from social media accounts set to ‘private’ are not eligible.
  10. The promotor reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, or any other event outside of the promotor’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promotor.
  11. The promotor is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  12. The prizes are as follows:
  •  One winner will receive a ride in National Grid’s hydrogen car (subject to availability) and a tour of the Deeside Centre for Innovation. The ride in the hydrogen vehicle is to allow for transportation to Deeside – the prizes cannot be taken separately. This is to be redeemed within six months of notification. The winner of the First prize must have a valid UK driving license or be accompanied by the holder of a valid UK driving license. 16-year olds must be accompanied by an adult. The maximum number of people visiting Deeside, including the winner, must not exceed four people. Deeside Centre for Innovation will open in October 2021. Proof of identity must be provided on the day of the experience and MUST match that of the details provided to the promotor at the notification of the win.
  • Five runners-up will each receive one Green Light Signal LIFX bulb.
  1. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  2. The winner and runners-up will be chosen at random by software, from all eligible entries.
  3. The winner and runners-up will be notified via the platform on which they entered within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner or one of the runners-up cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  4. The promotor will require a UK delivery address from the competition winner and runners-up.
  5. The promotor’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  7. As a condition of entering the competition, entrants must ensure that, by doing so, they do not contravene any laws of their country of residence. The promotor will not be liable in any way if an entrant enters the competition unlawfully.
  8. Any winner agrees to the use of his/her name in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.
  9. The winner’s and runners-up's social media 'handles’ will be available 28 days after the closing date by emailing the following address: [email protected]
