Please introduce yourself, give your job title and explain in a few sentences what it is you do?
Client representative for the New Cross Tunnel drive site. I have a background in Construction and Civil Engineering. My job is to monitor progress, safety and quality of the construction.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Communicating with lots of different peoples engineers and non engineers. Everyone has different priorities and often as a team we have to strike a balance.
What aspect of your work do you find most rewarding?
My role is very social I get to work with people in every department across the project and in national grid (commercial, engineering (civil and electrical), community relations, local communities)
What are you most looking forward to doing again once the current pandemic passes?
Going rock climbing and walks in the country side!
What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
Anything outside: running, cycling, rowing!
What advice would you give someone who wants to join the construction and engineering sector?
Be clear on what your strengths are and what you can add to a team!
