As our workforce increases, we need to consider the skills needed to deliver on our clean energy future and help our employees learn and grow with us to tackle the challenges ahead. Attracting, developing and retaining a qualified and competent workforce requires training programmes that are robust, comprehensive, in line with local regulations and that create a career path built on safety and competence.
To continue investing in our colleagues and empower their growth, through BetterUp we offer digital coaching to support intentional behavioural and mindset shifts aligned to colleague development goals.
Participants are eligible for six months of unlimited coaching with dedicated, on-demand, certified coaches. In 2023, 200 colleagues participated in digital coaching.
Ira Danila, Director of Operations Strategy & Performance, shares: “Following advice from both books [Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy and Atomic Habits by James Clear] recommended via the coaching engagement and together with my coaches, I changed my productivity system and introduced a new mental wellbeing routine that improved my focus and motivation.”
We offer LinkedIn Learning to all colleagues – a digital-first development platform that now has more than 9,300 on-demand courses available, with more than 1,000 of those focused on leadership and management, as well as new career features that empower everyone to develop as career activists.
LinkedIn Learning has over 3,000 courses and pathways that deep dive into diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) topics to support our colleagues in developing inclusive leadership behaviours. Leaders are encouraged to take inspiration from their results from a suite of leadership questions in the annual Grid:Voice survey, to help identify strengths to build on and areas of development. Since January 2023, colleagues have viewed over 560,000 courses, including learning videos, with over 400,000 completions.
MindGym is an external learning provider that specialises in psychology and behavioural science to transform how people think, feel and behave. Their instructor-led training has been designed to engage leaders, provide them with key insights and has proven work solutions to develop Manager Essentials.
Across 2023, 82 sessions were facilitated with over 1,800 participants reached. 90% of participants shared they will use what they have learnt, supporting company-wide behaviour change.
We believe in the power of effective teamwork, which is why we offer Team Effectiveness sessions designed to foster cohesion and positive collaboration among teams. These sessions draw inspiration from Patrick Lencioni's extensive research on healthy and successful teams, building on the themes of trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and results. As of 2023, we have 42 internally trained facilitators and have completed numerous Team Effectiveness sessions across the US and UK.
