In the first edition of our project newsletter, we introduce the North Wessex Downs Visual Impact Provision (VIP) project as we move into the first stages of construction. We also give an overview of VIP in England and Wales and how we’ve been keeping busy in the local community.

Introducing Wiltshire Search and Rescue

10 October 2024

Wiltshire Search and Resue is a local voluntary organisation which locates high-risk and vulnerable missing persons, provides lifesaving medical care and returns people to a place of safety across Wiltshire. The team uses farmers’ fields close to the North Wessex Downs VIP project to carry out essential training exercises.

Local arts festival benefits from National Grid community grant award

30 September 2024

Devizes Outdoor Celebratory Arts has received £20,000 from National Grid to support its outdoor community arts event. The funding will help young people to develop their own cultural event in Devizes whilst learning all aspects of event management.
