Important information about additional weekend work
On the weekends of 15-16 June and 22-23 June 2024 we will be carrying out essential construction work, this will take place between the hours of 8.00am – 4.00pm on both weekends.
The team will also be working on alternate weekends from 6-7 July through until early August between the hours of 8.00am-4.00pm.
This work is to allow us to complete the construction of the new temporary pylons at each end of the route before the autumn, which are needed before we start work to bury and install the new cables underground later this year.
This activity is taking place with permission from Wiltshire Council and we will be monitoring noise levels to ensure we keep within the limits that have been agreed as part of our planning application.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the local community as we undertake this work on the North Wessex Downs VIP project and we apologise in advance to our neighbours for any temporary inconvenience or disturbance caused.
