Highways update: temporary closure of Folly Road

Folly Road will be temporarily closed until Wednesday 25 September 2024, meaning no access for cars, pedestrians and cyclists.

Folly Road leading up to Roundway Hill will be closed until Wednesday 25 September 2024.  This temporary measure is in place to allow our project team to safely excavate the trenches and install the ducting which will house the new underground cables.

The road will be fully reinstated following the completion of this activity and is expected to reopen on Wednesday 25 September.  However, we will remove the traffic management measures if the work here is completed sooner.

Please note that all other public rights of way and permissive paths in the area including routes up to Roundway Hill currently remain open.

We want to reassure you that our teams are working as quickly and as safely as possible to minimise disruption and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this closure may cause.

If you have any questions about the project or the works taking place, please contact the team by emailing [email protected] or calling 0330 134 0051 (and leaving a message if you are prompted).
