Education fund launched
National Grid launches Hinkley Connection Project STEM funding programme
National Grid has launched the new Hinkley Connection Project education fund, which offers local schools the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to £500 for Primary schools and £1,250 for Secondary schools.
National Grid wants to encourage the next generation to take an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects, and these grants are to be used for the purchase of additional STEM resources to support the teaching of these core subjects to school children in local communities.
