[12 October] Stockport Mayor lends a hand to ‘pull’ National Grid cable

Marking a key stage in National Grid’s work to replace the existing underground electricity cable in Stockport, the Mayor, Councillor Dean Fitzpatrick, joined the project team at Heaton Norris Park to help pull the cable through the ducts.

National Grid and TenneT to jointly develop vision to link offshore wind farms to Britain and the Netherlands

National Grid Ventures and Dutch Transmission System Operator TenneT have today (22 Sept), announced a cooperation agreement to explore the feasibility of connecting Dutch and British wind farms to the energy systems of both countries via subsea electricity cables called interconnectors.
