Consultation extended on National Grid proposals for Norwich to Tilbury
- National Grid has extended statutory consultation on proposals for Norwich to Tilbury until Friday 26 July.
- Provides additional time for people to submit their feedback after the general election.
- New dates for webinars have been announced.
National Grid is extending its statutory consultation on proposals for Norwich to Tilbury until Friday 26 July. The consultation remains open, and this five-week extension will allow people more time to provide their comments following the Prime Minister’s announcement that a general election will be held on 4 July.
National Grid is also moving its five remaining webinars until after the general election takes place.
Norwich to Tilbury is needed to connect new sources of low carbon energy to homes and businesses across Britain and help reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. It will play a key role in addressing the climate emergency and helping achieve the UK’s targets for net zero.
