During the week commencing 22 April 2024, we will be carrying out two pump tests at our Garth site near Minffordd, which is an important part of our work to safely construct our shaft.
These tests will need to run for four days and are due to be completed by 25 April. It will be necessary for the pump to run overnight, however there will not be additional staff required during these hours.
We want to make sure that any impact on the local community is kept to a minimum and we are committed to taking all necessary precautions to minimise any disturbance to the best of our ability.
The generator to power the pump will be located behind the acoustic barrier, already installed, to mitigate noise levels of the generator which is required to power the pump tests. Our noise modelling shows that these will ensure that any noise will be kept below permitted levels.
We apologise in advance to our site neighbours for any inconvenience or disturbance caused, and appreciate the patience and cooperation of the local community as we undertake this stage of the Eryri VIP project.
If you have any questions about any matter relating to the project, please contact the Eryri VIP project team by emailing us at [email protected] or calling 0800 018 1898 (and leaving a message if prompted – messages are checked frequently, and a member of the team will call you back).
