National Grid has received full marks for its 2022 Energy & Utility Procurement Skills Accord annual submission.
Developed and led by the Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership, the aim of the Accord is to create a sustainability skilled sector workforce, by recognising those who invest in skills via procurement and rewarding suppliers in the process.
This also forms a key part of engagement with National Grid’s relevant contractors – primarily from the EPC Framework and is a key commitment in our RIIO-T2 business plan.
The team received their award at the Procurement Skills Accord Best Practice Workshop & Awards Ceremony in Solihull.
Phil Beach CBE, Chief Executive of Energy & Utility Skills said: “I’d like to extend our congratulations to all the companies who received awards for meeting the requirements of the accord this year – its’ high bar and achievement is a clear indication of the commitment to prioritising investment in skills development at a time of increasing challenge.”
