August 2023 saw the last pylon removed between Nailsea and Portishead as part of the Hinkley Connection Project.
Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve saw the last of 15 lattice pylons removed in August 2023.
Pupils at Avonmouth C of E Primary School and Nursery got a new view in September as the pylon in the schools forest area was removed.
