From the end of May, our teams will start work creating the entrance for our site and the location of one of our tunnel headhouses in Llandecwyn. This will require the need for temporary traffic lights located close to where they are currently positioned on the A496 opposite the water treatment works.
The lights are needed only while we establish a new entrance to the site compound for the Eryri Visual Impact Provision (VIP) project.
These access points are known as ‘bellmouths’, which refers to the shape of the entrance – they are very wide to allow safe access for vehicles to enter and exit the site.
The work is expected to take up to four weeks and should be completed before the end of June. We have, however, informed Cyngor Gwynedd that the lights could remain in place until the end of July in the unlikely occurrence that we experience a delay to the work.
As soon as the new bellmouth is in place, the road and the traffic management measures in this location will be removed.
We’d like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience connected to our work, but we will be doing everything we can to minimise disruption throughout construction.
