248 of 249 existing pylons removed

National Grid committed to removing 67 kilometres of existing 132,000 volt lattice pylons operated by National Grid Electricity Distribution (formerly Western Power Distribution) between Bridgwater and Avonmouth as part of the Hinkley Connection Project. 

We’ve taken down 248 of 249 lattice pylons, the one remaining lower voltage pylon near Sheepway in Portbury which will be removed in the coming months.
