National Grid committed to removing 67 kilometres of existing 132,000 volt lattice pylons operated by National Grid Electricity Distribution (formerly Western Power Distribution) between Bridgwater and Avonmouth as part of the Hinkley Connection Project.
We’ve taken down 248 of 249 lattice pylons from the Somerset landscape, including a line between Nailsea and Portishead and those in Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve, and from across a residential area in Avonmouth.
In the coming months, we’ll take down the one remaining lattice pylon near Sheepway in Portbury.
