Further to the news item posted on September 5th, National Grid confirms that Phase 1 of the new South West feeder has been commissioned up to the new Coffinswell offtake.

National system linepack has therefore increased by approximately 0.42mcm, although this figure is wholly dependant on system dynamics.

We will advise users via this facility when Phase 2 of the pipeline and CoffinswellOT, ChoakfordPT and LangagePS offtakes are commissioned.
