Commissioning of Asselby - Pannal (Feeder 29) Pipeline

National Grid hereby notifies users of the commissioning of the new 62km Asselby – Pannal (feeder 29) pipeline.  Commissioning work is scheduled to start on 27 September and will be carried out over a 2-3 day period.  There will be a requirement for approximately 4.7mcm of additional gas to be delivered to the system and accordingly users may see a small increase in the daily opening linepack level.

This is the third phase (of a 4 phase construction programme) to carry gas from Easington across the Pennines to the North West.

The first phase, Ganstead to Asselby was completed in 2006.  Construction of the second phase, Pannal to Nether Kellet was completed in 2007.  The final phase (Easington to Ganstead) is due to be commissioned later in 2008.
