National Grid hereby notifies users of the commissioning of the new 32km Easington to Ganstead (feeder 29) pipeline.  Commissioning work is scheduled to start on 30th September 2008 and will be carried out over a 1-2 day period.  There will be a requirement for ~2.4mcm of additional gas to be delivered to the system and accordingly users may see a small increase in the daily opening linepack level.

This is part of a 4 phase construction programme to carry gas from Easington across the Pennines to the North West. 

The first phase, Ganstead to Asselby was completed in 2006.  Construction of the second phase, Pannal to Nether Kellet was completed in 2007. The final two sections (Easington to Ganstead and Asselby to Pannal) are both due to be commissioned wc 29th September 2008.
