Delay to the Commissioning of Asselby – Pannal (feeder 29) Pipeline

National Grid hereby notifies users of a delay to the commissioning of the new 62km Asselby – Pannal (feeder 29) pipeline.  Commissioning work is now scheduled to start on 2nd October 2008 and will be carried out over a 2-3 day period (delayed from 27th September 2008).  There will be a requirement for ~4.7mcm of additional gas to be delivered to the system and accordingly users may see a small increase in the daily opening linepack level.

This is part of a 4 phase construction programme to carry gas from Easington across the Pennines to the North West.

The first phase, Ganstead to Asselby was completed in 2006.  Construction of the second phase, Pannal to Nether Kellet was completed in 2007.  The final two sections (Easington to Ganstead and Asselby to Pannal) are both due to be commissioned wc 29th September 2008.
