For winter 2006/2007 a new, free service is being offered by National Grid. Users who subscribe to this service can receive email and/or SMS messages whenever a Gas Balancing Alert is issued, as well as the alert status being updated via the Daily Summary Report.

There are three sections to the subscription page which can be found at www.nationalgrid.com/uk/Gas/Data/subscribe

Section 1 – Your Details

Provide information unique to you that will be used to send alert messages. Your email address and chosen password will be stored by National grid so that in future, you can logon and change your details should you wish to do so.

Section 2 – Alert Details

Provide details of how and when you would like to be notified of any Gas Balancing Alerts.

  • Instant   - within 1 hour
  • Daily  - By end of working day
  • Weekly - By end of working week
  • Monthly - By end of working month
• SMS is within 1 hour

Section 3 - Register

National Grid standard Terms and Conditions apply to this service. Indicate acceptance of these and register for the service.
