When you create your order, select "Disconnect Existing Gas Service" followed by either "Service Pipe Disconnection", if you are requesting for a property to have its service permanently disconnected (you will have to apply for each property separately if for more than one), or "Mains Pipe Disconnection ", if you are requesting all properties in a street to be disconnected or a mains diversion.

IMPORTANT: When processing your order you will be asked what the diameter of the gas service pipe is. Under no circumstances should you seek to excavate or in any other way interfere with the service pipe in order to identify the diameter or for any other reason. Please select ‘Unknown’ if you do not know the pipe diameter and National Grid will determine this for you.
