What are the documents produced in relation to a CUSC Modification  Proposal?

All documents relating to a CUSC Modification Proposal can be found on the CUSC Website and their functions are briefly described below:

  1. Modification Proposal Form

    This is the document submitted by the Proposer detailing information concerning the CUSC Modification  Proposal. On submission to the Panel Secretary it is checked by him and then included on the agenda for discussion at the next CUSC Modifications Panel meeting, where a timetable and process will be determined.

  2. Workgroup or Standing Group Report

    If the CUSC Modifications Panel has set up a Workgroup or actioned an existing Standing Group to consider the CUSC Modification Proposal, then the Chairman of the Group is responsible for preparing a report in response to the matters in the terms of reference and in accordance with the timetable set, for submission to the Panel. The Panel may refer the matter back to the Workgroup for further analysis (if required) or proceed to wider consultation.

  3. Consultation Paper

    Consultation papers are produced by National Grid who, in accordance with the CUSC, shall consult on the Modification Proposal with CUSC Parties and other persons who may properly be considered to have an appropriate interest in it. Consultation papers are published on the National Grid CUSC Website and emailed to CUSC Parties and other persons who have supplied relevant details, they also be copied to Core Industry Document Owners.

    According to the CUSC and unless the Authority decides none is required in the Modification Report, the Consultation Paper will contain the proposed drafting to amend the CUSC in order to give effect to the Modification Proposal.

  4. Modification Report

    National Grid are responsible for the preparation and submission of the Modification  Report to the Authority. Section 8.20 of the CUSC sets out mandatory items for inclusion, such as, the recommendation and summary of views from the Modifications Panel, National Grid and any Workgroup; a full description and analysis of the Proposed Modification and any Alternative Modification; assessment of impact of the Proposed Modification and any Alternative Modification on the CUSC and Core Industry Documents. Copies of all written representations or objections made by consultees during the consultation will also be included in the Modification  Report.
