We believe everyone who works for us is entitled to high levels of safety, whether they are a direct employee or employed by one of our contract partners.
During 2010/11, we have seen a significant improvement in the lost time injury performance of our contract partners’ workforce. There were 51 contractor lost time injuries, compared with 85 in 2009/10.
When developing safety improvement programmes, we ensure our contract partners are actively involved and believe there is a mutual benefit in sharing good practice and learning.
