The Board

The Board of National Grid currently consists of 14 Directors, comprising the Chairman, six Executive Directors and seven Non-executive Directors (including the Senior Independent Director). Biographical details for each of the Directors, together with details of Board Committee memberships, are set out under Board of Directors.

The intended retirement of long-serving Non-executive Director, John Grant, was announced prior to the year end. John Grant stepped down as chairman of the Remuneration Committee at the end of February but remained a member to ensure an effective transition to the new chairman of the Committee, John Allan.
